Ficelle Boulangerie & Patisserie

After hearing recommendations from our friends and colleagues about this place, we decided to visit Ficelle for brunch with Ai Wei, Ting Fang and her boyfriend for my birthday celebration.

Ficelle Boulangerie & Patisserie
Ficelle Boulangerie & Patisserie is under the same management as Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie. Those who have been to Levain will find similarities in these two places in terms of their interior, menu and food.

Reservations were not allowed to be made on weekends. But fortunately there were seats available outdoors and the café was not as busy as Levain.

There were a number of breads, sandwiches and desserts to choose from. Other than that, they also serve mains like salad, soup, pasta and pizza.

Being bread lovers, we could not resist so we ordered a variety of bread to share. Priced at RM3.30, the Peanut Chocolate Crunch, the one with the eyes, was not only cute, but also delicious, very chocolatey and nice! Priced at RM2.50, RM5.80 and RM2.00 respectively, the Chocolate Danish, Apple Pie and Chocolate bioche were good as well.

Mini Tuna Sandwich, Ficelle Boulangerie & Patisserie
Our friends also ordered a Mini Tuna Sandwich, priced at RM6.00 per box.

Chocolate Corone, Ficelle Boulangerie & Patisserie
We had a Chocolate Corone priced at RM2.20. The sweet bun was filled and topped with chocolate and icing sugar while the inside was filled with chocolate custard cream. The chocolate was rich and moist but not overpowering at the same time. It was good until the last bite.

Chocolate French Toast and Choux à la Crème, Ficelle Boulangerie & Patisserie
Priced at RM4.80, the Chocolate French Toast, the bread hidden behind, was one of my favourites. It was a rather unique French toast made with chocolate log bread.  It was not very sweet and the bun was fresh and fluffy, exactly how I like my bread to be. In front of the French toast, we had a Choux à la Crème, more commonly known as profiterole. Priced at RM2.00, we enjoyed this light cream puff a lot, it was simple but at its best!

Walnut Cream Cheese and Durian Donut Custard, Ficelle Boulangerie & Patisserie
Priced at RM3.50, we also find the walnut cream cheese a nice savoury bun to eat. Similar to other buns in Ficelle, the cream cheese bun was light but also rich in taste, definitely something that we would order again! The durian donut custard hidden behind was good as well. Priced at RM2.50, the durian custard was rather light and mild, suitable for those who prefer it sweet and mild.

I do not know if it’s just me or if everybody else encountering
issues with your site. It appears as though some of the text in your
