Finally we had the time to visit shopping malls! I was so excited when we arrived at 1 Utama and saw all these beautiful Christmas decorations, a similar feeling that I had when I was a child, it felt so good to feel this way. Christmas is around the corner as well as the arrival of a new year. A lot of celebrations awaiting but yet a lot of thinking to be done for the past and also the coming year.
Anyway, this caught our attention as soon as we arrived at the new wing. They’re using the nutcracker as their main theme for Christmas this year, what an excellent idea! With all the beautifully written songs from the Nutcracker Suite and the magical Christmas story, we’re sure that their performance would be really interesting.

We don’t really remember how it was like for the past few years but we find their decorations quite pretty this year.
Well, anyway, feeling hungry, we decided to visit Dragon-i since I haven’t been to this place before. We arrived before lunch time before the restaurant was packed.
We were served with peanuts before placing our orders. We thought that this was complimentary but nope, we were wrong. This costs RM2 per plate.
We began our lunch with their infamous Shanghainese steamed meat dumpling aka xiao long bao (上海小笼包). It was priced at RM8. The soup that we drank from the dumpling was really strong in taste and delicious and the meat formed an excellent combination with the ginger and vinegar dipping. We really enjoyed it.
To fill our stomach, we ordered hot and sour soup la mian (酸辣汤拉面). Priced at RM12, we found this soup quite appetising with the thick and flavourful hot and sour soup. The la mian was quite thick and chewy but somehow quite average.
Still wanting something hot, we went on to order this Sichuan style la mian (四川担担拉面) for RM12. Perhaps we were not used to the strong peanut taste of the soup, we didn’t enjoy this as much as the hot and spicy la mian. This la mian was way too filling.
Yeah, we would revisit this restaurant for their dumplings and also other food, there were so many other dishes that we wanted to try. Not bad for its environment and service, a place worth checking out!
