Face to Face Noodle House (面对面板面专卖店)

A post dated back to July 2008. We visited this noodle house quite often before we left to the UK at September last year.


Face to Face Noodle House is specialised in noodles especially pan mee. This chain restaurant has a few outlets in the Klang Valley. As far as we know, there is one located in Damansara Perdana, one in SS15 Subang Jaya and one in Off Jalan Genting Klang. This is the outlet that we visit when we were craving for pan mee because it is near my place. Bear in mind that if you plan to visit this outlet, you have to spare some time and patience in looking for a car park, especially during lunch hour.

For our drinks, we had a soya bean (豆奶) for RM 2 and a black jelly drink aka cincao (凉粉) at RM 1.50. 

We highly recommend you to try their specialty home made chilli out. It is spicy and fragrant and we would usually mix this chilli to our noodles. 

The chilli on the bottom left corner is the normal chilli to go with pan mee. It is delicious as usual, but if compared to their specialty chilli, we would prefer the latter. 

As usual, ys opted for a house specialty hot and spicy pan mee in soup (招牌香辣板面). Priced at RM5.80, this large bowl of home made noodles was served with minced pork, fried anchovies and a sunny-side-up egg. The portion was really large and it was totally delicious when added with loads of chilli. 

I had a dry version of creations minced pork pan mee (肉酱板面) at RM4.80. I enjoy this pan mee very much and will usually opt for thin noodles instead of the thicker ones. The noodles were served with minced pork, crispy fish cakes and meat balls. The home made gravy was sweet and full of flavour. Not a bad choice if you want something different from their house specialty. 

Finally, we ended our meal by having ABC Special (特色什雪) at RM3. This dessert is good for cooling us down after the hot and fiery meal.Other than these two types of pan mee, they also have curry and black pepper pan mee. If you’re not interested in pan mee, you could also check out their Sarawak noodles. I’ve tried that out once and it tasted quite decent too. They now offer a wider range of food and beverages in their menu. Service was rather fast and speedy in this outlet. One good thing about dining in this restaurant is that they don’t charge for government tax and service charge. Do check this restaurant out when you are craving for pan mee!

i had it in Uptown PJ. but i would personally recom Super Kitchen Pan Mee (this one i had in Kota Damansara), yummy, & im not a pan mee fan, so thts says a lot!

Yes, the 4 x condiments really add that fiery factor to the pan mee here. Though not the best, I must say it serves its neighbourhoods pretty well!

seen this shop sprouting everywhere. but most days the shops looked empty, or half-filled.

Squallchin, thanks for the information, we might try their fish cake next time. Yeah, can’t agree with you further that parking is a problem in that area.

Selba, yeah, their house specialty chilli is a great match with the noodles!

ThenomadGourmand, thanks for the information, I think I read about Super Kitchen too. We’ll check it out when we’re back in Malaysia. We’re crazy about pan mee. Haha!

Little Inbox, that would be a great choice! The homemade chilli is really good.

550ml jar of faith, yeah, agree with what you said. Love the chillis. But it’s a little controversial, some likes it but some don’t.

Jason, sounds like the curry isn’t that good. Ok, will avoid that one then. :)

Nic (KHKL), yeah, you’re right. Guess they have to come out with creative names since competition is high between restaurants.

Ai Wei, haha, seems like you really don’t like Face to Face. But ok, I take the offer for you to bring me to good pan mee! Make sure it’s good! :)

J2Kfm, oh, half-filled? The branch in Subang is actually quite pack most of the time. Haha, your question is a little tough. Some think their pan mee is good, some said it’s average and others said they do not like it at all. For us, it’s good and since the location is near to my place, we visited it quite often.
