We were craving for steamboat one night but it was quite late so we thought of visiting Ho Ho Steamboat Restaurant since it opens until midnight.
We haven’t been to this place for ages. I used to remember that the steamboat was quite good here. I wonder if they’re still the same. Anyway, this Sri Petaling outlet is the first restaurant of this steamboat restaurant chain. We read from their website that most of their ingredients are brought in from Pulau Ketam.
We had 2 lime and sour plum drink for RM2 each. It was quite good, very sour and refreshing when eating some very hot.
Anyway, it costs RM26 for both of us to have this steamboat set. The ingredients were served shortly after we placed our orders. The thing that surprised me when I first went there was that they only have clear soup. It was very impressive that they are very successful by serving only one type of soup. We guess their success came from the freshness of the ingredients, their prawns were really large and fresh and so are the rest of the ingredients. We also like the fact that they serve a large portion of meat and vegetables as some restaurant tend to be less generous sometimes. The fish noodles, fish balls, fish, dumplings and bean curd tasted superb when dipped in their chilli sauce. We love it! The soup tasted very flavourful after we finished cooking, but it was a little too salty and we went home feeling extremely thirsty.
The price for this restaurant is fairly reasonable. Do check this restaurant out if you like steamboat! We were quite surprised to find that they have a very well managed website. Please visit their official website here.
