Mizi Shabu-shabu Japanese Steamboat Restaurant (美子火锅)
Posted by: Wen Ching In: Chinese Food
Back to steamboat again, one of our favourite food. We’ve been to this place quite some time ago. Though it is named as a Japanese steamboat restaurant, we don’t really think that this is similar to Japanese steamboat, it seems more like a Chinese steamboat restaurant to us.
Found ourselves a car park right outside the restaurant and went in after snapping this photo.
We arrived at the restaurant after 9pm. We wanted to dine in second floor but it was packed. So, you can see how busy this restaurant is. Here’s the interior of ground floor, neat and clean.
The difference of Mizi from other steamboat restaurant is that they serve steamboat individually where everyone will have their own hotpot. The good thing is that you get to customise your own soup and it will be more hygiene having your own pot compared to sharing with a large group of people. Also, the soup boils fast considering the small size of the pot, so your food can be cooked in lightning speed! And we have to mention that their special sauce (the one right below the chilli sauce in the photo) were really good! It goes really well with the food!
Another advantage of this restaurant is that they use electricity instead of gas to heat up the pot. We felt that this is much safer and easier for us to control the heat of the pot.
We ordered a couple set. Their ingredients were quite fresh. But I have no idea whether it was because we were too hungry on that day or whether the amount of food served were too little, we have to order something more.
We chose to have an additional plate of pork slices.
Their service was quite good and speedy. The total bill was RM34.10. Not a bad choice to visit for steamboat lovers. Try it out when you have the chance!
