Xiao Fei Yang (Little Fat Lamb) Restaurant (小肥羊(连锁)火锅城)

It was my first time visiting this restaurant, it was well-known as a good place for Inner Mongolian hot pot. So here we go, to visit this place when we were craving for steamboat one night.
This photo was taken when we left the restaurant during its closing time. That explains why they off the lights outside.
The interior of the restaurant, bright and well decorated for Chinese New Year. This would be a pleasant place for family gathering especially during cold and rainy days.
We had tie guan yin tea (铁观音) the other day. It costs RM1.50 per person. The canned almond juice was placed on every table, it was to be drank after food, but we didn’t try that because we were too full, maybe next time!
Here’s our appetiser and 3 types of dipping sauce, chilli, fermented bean curd (豆腐乳) and also sesame sauce. We personally prefer the sesame sauce. It was rather aromatic as it was freshly brewed.
We had a combination of herbal broth and spicy chilli soup (麻辣汤) for RM22. The spicy ma la soup was filled with so much herbs and chillis.
We ordered lamb slices, as this restaurant is really well known for it. That was RM10 per set. The lamb slices tasted heavenly good, it was very thinly sliced, so when cooked with the ma la soup, the lamb slices soaked up the spicy broth. It was so fresh and delicious! We also had cold bean curd (冻豆腐) for RM6, bak choi (白菜) for RM4, mushroom (香菇) for RM8 and golden needle mushroom (金针菇) for RM6. The other ingredients tasted really fresh and tasty too. They also offer rare ingredients such as goat’s testicles (羊宝), cow’s penis (牛鞭花), pig’s intestines (猪肠) and blood cake (猪红). Check them out if you’re interested!
This is the complimentary guava fruit. Perhaps fruits would be good after this flaming meal.
Service was quite good. Do check this restaurant out if you’re interested in North-eastern Chinese cuisine and their hot pot!
