Not too long ago, we received an invitation to sample some Middle Eastern pastries. Naturally, we simply couldn’t turn the opportunity away. As such, we joined up with Brought Up 2 Share, My Story and Food Point of Interest and off we headed to Baaji’s in 1 Mont Kiara.
Baaji’s is a new outlet in the 1 Mont Kiara Mall with mouthwatering pastries and delicacies, made with a variety of ingredients such as pistachios, almonds, cashew nuts and honey.
There was a vast array of products which are produced in-house, under strict hygienic procedures by Baaji’s chef who was brought down from the Middle East.
Pictured above are just a few of the pastries that Baaji’s has to offer. No doubt that they look good indeed!
The pastries at Baaji’s are all natural and healthy as no sugar is used. Instead, the sweetness of the pastries are completely provided from honey.
While the pastries are nice, we personally would have preferred them to be sweeter. We are familiar with extremely sweet Middle Eastern pastries from the UK and from our travels, so while the healthier honey-based pastries have something different to offer, they are just not our cup of tea.
Aside from pastries, various dates and nougats are also offered for sale. The nougats are imported from Italy and there is simply no shortage in terms of variety!
Another appealing thing about Baaji’s is the fact that one can purchase a selection of their pastries as a gift. We were also told that it is common for people to ask that the pastries be catered for big events such as weddings and parties and Baaji’s would provide an appropriate container that would best present the pastries for the occasion.
There are many appealing gift boxes to choose from in-store and the arrangement of the pastries inside the gift box is simply a sight to behold.
