Another 1 year old post, sorry for posting everything this late. I need to make this reminder to readers that the prices and menus might be different now. Anyway, this Japanese style bakery is owned by Tun Dr. Mahathir, Malaysia’s former prime minister. The first bakery and bistro is located in Langkawi, which we wish to visit in the future.
The third floor of The Loaf is a bakery while the upper floor is a fine dining restaurant.
The Loaf offers different types of breads, sandwiches and cheesecakes. Many times when we passed by The Loaf, it is filled with customers choosing and buying breads.
They also offer marble cookies.
We were attracted by their Uhu! hu! cheesecakes and went on to purchase a box which contains 6 cheesecake priced at RM25 in total. A single cheesecake would cost RM5 so we thought of getting a box instead. We learned that the cheesecakes were made without artificial preservatives and only natural ingredients were used. The paper box packaging is lovely and it can be recycled.
We shall name the cheesecakes clockwise beginning from the upper left corner with the harmonious green tea, the glitzy strawberries, luxurious chocolate, blueberry treasures, inspiring fluffy and passionate red bean. The Uhu! hu! cheesecakes tasted really soft and fluffy, the cheese was light and creamy, all flavours are equally delicious in their own unique way! The harmonious green tea is one of our favourites, the green tea aroma was rather strong and it tasted slightly bitter. Green tea lovers would definitely enjoy this. Glitzy strawberries and luxurious chocolate were good too, nothing would go wrong with these two flavours. We enjoyed the blueberry treasures too, the blueberries were sour and appetising and the taste blended well with the light and fluffy cheesecake. The inspiring fluffy was cute and delicious, a smiley face cheesecake can definitely cheer up the day! The passionate red bean was good but a little sweet compared to the rest of the cheesecakes. Other than these flavours, the durian obsession also received much compliments, I’ve tried it once and it tasted really good, definitely something not to miss out!
We would definitely go back for more cheesecakes. We might also try their cookies, sandwiches and breads next time. For more information, please visit their website here.
