Yippee Cup (益比杯)

Posted by: Wen Ching In: Dessert

We interrupt our trip to Amsterdam post with a wonderful deal from DealCity, a fantastic resource to find good deals and to purchase vouchers for food and beverages or spa treatments and more. We were invited by the friendly owners of DealCity to sample various types of bubble tea in Yippee Cup, a bubble tea shop located in the Plaza Damas Shopping Centre in Sri Hartamas.

Yippee Cup
Yippee Cup is located next to Subway and it was newly opened in Plaza Damas. The location was very easy to find and seats were available while waiting for the tea to be made. The first and established outlet is located in SS2 and a new branch will be opening soon in this coming December in Sungei Wang Plaza.

Signature Pearl Milk Tea, Yippee Cup
Bubble tea has always been a popular drink in Asia especially in countries like China, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. Countless number of bubble tea shops are available in the country. Being fans of sweets and dessert, we have tried a number of bubble tea places. And Yippee Cup serves one of the best bubble teas in KL. One of their best sellers is the Signature Pearl Milk Tea (原味珍奶). We thought this drink was very good, their pearls were extraordinarily nice and chewy, which we enjoyed chewing! The pearls were made out of quality tapioca and their main ingredients were mainly imported from Taiwan. It was a definite must-try drink in Yippee Cup!

Brown Rice Green Milk Tea, Yippee Cup
We also had a chance to sample their new and healthy Brown Rice Green Milk Tea (黄金玄米奶绿茶). The brown rice green milk tea was mildly sweet and fragrant. The freshness of the milk tea can be tasted due to the usage of imported fresh milk and tea leaves. The sugar level can be adjusted between ‘normal’ and ‘less sugar’, but note that Yippee Cup’s normal sugar level is rather mild, which is suitable for health conscious consumers.

Gui-Ling Roasted Milk Tea, Yippee Cup
Other than bubble tea, Yippee Cup also had a very interesting drink – the Gui-Ling Roasted Milk Tea (龟苓冻烤奶). We personally thought it was a very intriguing combination. It was a better and healthier substitute to grass jelly and it provided a slightly bitter but pleasant taste to the drink. Do check this drink out if you’re interested in something different!

Ocha Red Bean Blend, Yippee Cup
We also tried the visually attractive Ocha Red Bean Blend (抹茶红豆冰沙). Not only was it well-presented, the drink tasted excellent as well. The green tea was ice-blended and totally unsweetened. It was served with a generous amount of red beans which lent a sweet flavour to go alongside the quality and natural taste of the green tea. Green tea lovers would definitely find this drink amazing!

Kumquat Ai-Yu, Yippee Cup
Lastly, we had a Kumquat Ai-Yu (金桔爱玉冻). This drink was slightly sour as expected but the blend of taste was just right for it to go down easy. The Ai-Yu jelly was soft and smooth and complemented the rest of the drink nicely. This combination is perfect for those with a bit of a sour-tooth and it is sure to make one feel more awake and refreshed!

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Waffle, Yippee Cup
Other than drinks, Yippee Cup also serves some light snacks. We had their chocolate and peanut butter waffle which was served warm. It was spread with generous peanut butter and chocolate sauce, very delicious indeed!

DealCity Voucher, Yippee Cup

We were impressed by the selection of drinks they offered. Other than those stated above, we saw a few that we would return to try. One of those was the Ramen Caramel Milk Tea (拉面焦糖奶茶), Genmaicha Milk Tea (玄米奶茶) and Taiwan Ginger Milk Tea (台湾姜母奶茶). If you’re feeling adventurous, do check out their House Trendy Pop drinks with exotic names such as French Kiss Milk Tea (法国之吻) and Monkey King Milk Tea (猴子之王).

The deal to purchase vouchers starts officially now. The original price for most regular drinks are RM4.90 and 5.90 whereas with the voucher, you will be able to buy 2 drinks for the price of RM5 (as long as each cup is worth RM5.90 or less). I’m not a big fan of bubble tea personally but would definitely love to check out their Ocha Red Bean Blend!

Ai Wei, the deal was very worth it indeed, we were thinking about getting it ourselves too! I had a whole cup of Brown Rice Green Milk Tea to myself, it was really good! And healthy too!

Kampungboycitygal, yup, and this is a Malaysian one. They were all really good, we were impressed!

Choi Yen, the Ocha Red Bean Blend was really good, a healthy option if you don’t feel like having bubble tea.

Christine, yeah, that would be a very good choice! Do check this place out! =)
