We decided to have something light and healthy for lunch today, when we stopped in front of O’Briens, we know this would be the place for us today. Anyway, this Irish sandwich bar was originated from Dublin, Ireland.
The restaurant was rather empty during lunch time, is it not so popular here?
Their motto is to “see your food made fresh in front of you”. It is somewhat similar to Subway, which is also a sandwich bar that we like a lot. Besides sandwiches, they also offer partries, muffins, potato chips and etc.
We had a classic apple and blackcurrant juice for RM7.50. It is pricey but quite worth it. It tasted naturally sweet.
Since we haven’t tried shambo bread before, we decided to give it a shot. We had a chicken slice and cheddar shambo for RM14.50. This hot sandwich tasted really good, the combination of chicken slice, cheddar, tomatoes and honey mustard mayonnaise went well, we love it! The lightly salted potato chips was light and crispy, it was really delicious.
Next, we had a chicken crisp and brie tootsie for RM13.50. Together with mixed leaves, walnut and cranberry sauce, this sandwich tasted quite well. The chicken crisp tasted really flavourful but somehow we find the cranberry sauce a little too sweet to our liking.
It was a very satisfying lunch in O’Briens. The good thing about them is that they offer a wide range of choices and ingredients. The price is quite high but do check them out for its fresh and healthy sandwiches. For more information, check out their website here.
