We stumbled across a new burger outlet while browsing around other food blogs. What caught our attention was the fact that these burgers are pork burgers!
Located in SS2 in Petaling Jaya and along the same row as the ever famous Chow Yhang, Wallop Pork Burger was easy to find. The shop was nice and casual, with a typical fast food kind of décor.
The options include choosing the number of patties to have on the burger and then adding in extras such as bacon and mushrooms to the burger if that’s how you like it done. That day we had 2 burger combos (a set basically), the first being the Mama Combo which consists of a single patty pork burger, fries and a drink. A normal Mama Combo was priced at RM9.50, but we chose to add on extra cheese and mushrooms for RM1.30 and RM1.10 respectively. We really liked the burger, the pork patty was succulent and flavourful and the combination of the mushrooms, cheese and the sauce in the burger itself made it irresistible!
We also tried the Papa Combo for RM12.90. The Papa Burger was a burger with 2 patties instead of 1 compared to the Mama Burger. Like the above, the Combo came with fries and a drink. We chose to have this burger with bacon and egg as the sides, priced at RM1.30 and RM1.10 respectively. We found this combination to be great! Definitely something we would come back for again!
Each combo came with fries and we were quite surprised at how good the fries were. They were fresh and sufficiently thick, but not too thick they that were a chore to bite through. Best when eaten with the chilli sauce provided in the shop which we found to be rather good as well.
Wallop Pork Burger was a good discovery. We will definitely be back again for more of their pork burgers! We also want to try another item on the menu called the Hot Boy. It is supposed to be a spicy pork burger, which sounds really appealing to us. However, the owner said they only start serving that from 7pm onwards, so it looks like we’ll just have to go back again for dinner!
