A little outdated but I have not visited this restaurant before. We learned that this restaurant is actually a fusion Mongolian and Korean DIY cooking meal and they also mentioned that the ingredients are imported from Thailand. It sounded quite interesting and so we decided to give it a try.
It was lunch time during week days, which explains why there weren’t a lot of people there.
The restaurant was clean and tidy but it was slightly smoky, but this is what happens in most restaurants that offer DIY barbequed food such as Korean restaurants. Perhaps they should improve their ventilation system.
We ordered our drinks. The one on the left is the iced honey lemon for RM4 and the one on the right is the iced green tea priced at RM2.50.
We ordered a supreme pork set for RM29.90. The serving was larger than we expect, they served pork, bacon, chicken, squid, shrimp, udon, sliced cabbage, baby corn, carrot, lettuce and tomato. The presentation of the food was neat and all ingredients were really fresh.
The pan used for cooking was kept clean. Since it was our first time, we guess it would be better to follow their cooking instructions clearly. They gave us pork lard as cooking oil which we think was not very healthy, but we guess once in a while would be fine. Anyway, we have to place the vegetables on the side and the meat on the middle of the pan. For the pork to taste good, it would be best not to overcook it. For the soup to taste better, the best way is to put in more vegetables. The udon noodles were to be cooked last.
The supreme pork set also comes together with these 2 large bowls of steamed rice.
The best thing about this restaurant is this special sauce that they have. This brown coloured sauce can be added with garlic, lime and chili padi depending on your liking. For us, we preferred it to be really spicy so we added more chili padi, the pork was really delicious when dipped in this sauce, it was very unique and delicious! Also, the soup was incredibly flavourful when we finished cooking all the food.
We would like to revisit this restaurant again, maybe once in a while. We got a 20% discount when we presented our student ID, the price was really reasonable and worth it! Do give it a try if you love barbequed food.
