Bistro Fiore

Posted by: Wen Ching In: Italian Food|Japanese Food

When I used to worked in Plaza Damas for a short period of time, my colleagues and I used to hang out in this eatery after work, definitely one of my favourite places for Japanese styled Italian food in KL.

Bistro Fiore, Plaza Damas
On one of the weekends I visited the restaurant for lunch. The restaurant was located in one of the more remote corner of Plaza Damas.

Counter seats, Bistro Fiore
There were two floors for dining. The ground floor housed the counter seats and the open kitchen area. A very nice area to sit and talk to the owners and also the people in the restaurant.

Sakashita san, Bistro Fiore
The owner of the restaurant was Sakashita san, a very approachable and friendly person, cooks delicious Italian food and speaks Chinese as well!

Interior, Bistro Fiore
When I was there with my friends for lunch, we dined in the second floor.

Interior, Bistro Fiore
The second floor of the restaurant had more table seats. The environment was bright and cheerful in the afternoon.

Soup, Bistro Fiore
Since there were three of us, we ordered a few items to share. Their set menu was very appealing and we ordered a Mini Set A which consisted of a soup, appetizer, salad, two types of main course and also a drink. Priced at RM25, we found this set to be delicious and reasonably priced. The vegetable soup was simple and nice, no complains about it.

Appetiser, Bistro Fiore
The appetizer consisted of broccoli, squid rings, potato salad and onion rings. I liked the potato salad in particular, it was a simple and healthy appetizer.

Salad, Bistro Fiore
The salad was quite good as well. I liked the salad dressing, slightly sour and very appetising, it boosted my appetite for the next main course.

Fried Rice with Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato, Bistro Fiore
For our mains, we had fried rice with bacon, lettuce and tomato. It was a healthy option, the rice was moist and delicious and yet not oily.

Bacon, Mushroom and Tomato Sauce Pasta, Bistro Fiore
We also sampled their pasta. Their Bacon, Mushroom and Tomato Sauce Pasta was an enjoyable dish as well, it tasted nice and light.

Seafood Pizza, Bistro Fiore
Other than Mini Set A, we ordered a small pizza from the a la carte menu. Priced at RM21, I loved the pizza, definitely one of the pizzas which I loved most from this place. The prawns were huge and fresh and the cheese complemented the seafood very well, very nice and cheesy, two thumbs up for this pizza!

Napolitana Pasta, Bistro Fiore
These two remaining photos were pictures which I have taken when dining in the restaurant for supper after work.  We would usually leave it up to the chef to prepare what was good for us, commonly known as Omakase (お任せ) in Japanese. Pictured above was the Napolitana Pasta which was all of our favourite in the restaurant. It was very flavourful and very cheesy, simply delicious!

Pizza, Bistro Fiore
The pizza which we had was quite good as well, it wasn’t in the menu. It consisted of tomatoes, potatoes and ham. Very rare to have potatoes in pizza but this one tasted quite good.

Overall, I liked this place a lot, a very nice hang out place for us and lots of good memories with my colleagues. I would recommend this place for my readers and I will always revisit this place in the future.

I’m really enjoying the theme/design of your website. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility problems? A number of my blog audience have complained about my site not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any tips to help fix this issue?
