Tykoh Inagiku

Posted by: Wen Ching In: Japanese Food

What gave us an idea to start this blog? I have no idea actually, but it just happened that we went to a fine Japanese restaurant today and we had the sudden impulse to create this blog. So why do we name it as sugar sugar bean bean? I know it sounds silly but it’s simple and cute :)

Anyway, this restaurant is located in Menara Kek Seng. I think it’s one of the best restaurants in KL for Japanese food, worth for a try if you’re a big fan of Japanese food. But keep in mind that the price for the food might be quite expensive.

We ordered Sanshoku Don Course and Ishiyaki Kaisen Sanshoku for dinner. We had sashimi as our appetiser.

Next, we were served with this miso grilled fish, it tasted better than it seems. Next to the cucumber is nato (fermented soy beans). Most people do not enjoy the taste of it, so do I.

Here comes our Ishiyaki Kaisen Sanshoku, it’s a combination of 3 types of seafood which are ikura (salmon roe), uni (sea urchin) and fish cooked with rice on a heated hot stone. The best part is that the rice is crispy J

This is the main course for the Sanshoku Don Course. Slightly similar to Ishiyaki Kaisen above, only that the 3 types of seafood were served with vinegared rice as a cold dish. I have no idea why but I think uni tasted best!

The main course is served with a bowl of seaweed soup, chawan mushi (egg custard) and some pickles.

A clearer look at the seaweed soup. Does it look gross? Haha! But it tasted the total opposite.

Finally, our dessert – Macha (green tea) ice-cream topped with red bean! Yumyum!

Okie, that’s all for our first post. More to be uploaded again! Remember to stop by regularly! :)
