Tykoh Inagiku Japanese Restaurant (大公稲ぎく) 2nd post
Posted by: Wen Ching In: Japanese Food
This is a really backdated post, should’ve post it earlier. We’ve been to this place many times. If you’ve read our previous post on Tykoh Inagiku, you would know that this is our favourite Japanese restaurant in KL. Not exaggerating, but we really think that this place is the best place for Japanese food in KL.
For our starter, we ordered tuna sashimi (大トロ刺身) and uni sashimi (海栗刺身). Uni means sea urchin in English. The tuna sashimi costs RM120 while the uni sashimi costs RM60. The uni was served with its shell. They tasted so good that we can hardly describe it, they were both so fresh and the uni sashimi melted in our mouth. Something that you really have to order when you visit this restaurant! It was really worth the price!
Next up, we had kaki furai (牡蠣フライ), fried oysters at RM26. Served along with a small portion of salad, this kaki furai was fried to perfection, the outer layer of the oyster was really crispy while the oyster inside remained juicy and succulent. Really worth trying it out!
We also ordered our favourite cod fish grilled with miso paste, gindara misoyaki (みそ焼き). Priced at RM28, this marinated miso paste cod fish carries a strong taste of soya bean paste, slightly sweet and we like it!
We also ordered nabeyaki udon (鍋焼きうどん) at RM28. The udon was cooked in a hot pot and it was filled with prawn, salmon, scallop, oyster, bean curd and some vegetables. Very reasonably priced and you get all the fresh ingredients inside!
Then we had our wakame udon (若布うどん) at RM18. The udon served here was really chewy. Tasted really good!
Finally, we had our black sesame ice-cream (黒胡麻アイス) for RM4. This ice-cream carries a really strong black sesame taste, if you love black sesame, we’re sure that you’ll enjoy this ice-cream.
Looking forward to our next visit to this restaurant. This place is definitely our favourite restaurant for authentic Japanese cuisine. The presentation of dishes was really good and their service was speedy and attentive. The price was reasonable and the quality of the food was excellent. Japanese food lovers, you can’t miss this out! We strongly recommend you to visit this restaurant!
