Finally here’s our chance to try this Japanese restaurant which belongs to a British restaurant chain which is mostly based in London. We’ve read both positive and negative reviews about this restaurant, so we would really want to check it out ourselves!
This restaurant looks rather attractive, with bright colours and comfortable seats for customers.
One good thing about this restaurant is that they do not keep sushi on the kaiten belt for more than 2 hours, that would preserve the freshness of the food!
First, we had smoked salmon and cream cheese sushi. Priced at RM10, cucumber and cream cheese are wrapped with smoked salmon. The combination of the smoked salmon and cream cheese went really well and the cream cheese melted in our mouth. We enjoyed every bite of it.
Next, we had a spicy chicken katsu sushi for RM8. Fortunately we noticed that they placed this sushi on the wrong colour plate, it was supposed to be served in a purple colour plate. Anyway, this shredded crispy chicken in spicy dressing and mizuna leaf drizzled with katsu sauce tasted rather average to us. It was quite flavourful but the chicken was a little dry to us.
From the left, this assorted inside out roll consists of vegetable futomaki, Yo! Roll and eel dragon roll. Priced at RM10, the vegetable futomaki was filled with cucumber, kampyo, pickled radish, tamago and red pepper, tasted quite ordinary to us. The Yo! Roll tasted somehow better in which it was wrapped with salmon, avocado, mayonnaise and tobiko (flying fish roe), this combination is rather similar to California roll. Lastly, the eel dragon roll which was topped with unagi was filled crabmeat, avocado, shichimi (Japanese chilli powder). It tasted average overall.
Still looking something to satisfy our tummy, we had this Yo! Ramen for RM10. We were served with shiitake and enoki mushrooms in a dashi broth. It was quite delicious, even more flavourful when added with shichimi chilli pepper (七味唐辛子).
Service was quite good but it was rather pricey dining there. They actually have different and interesting combination of sushi which we never had before, more like Japanese and Western fusion food. Perhaps we would still return to this restaurant to check out other items. Do check out their website here.
