This is one of the most visited Korean restaurants by us, probably because it’s near my house. Although we’ve been to this place many times, this is the first time going there for lunch.
The restaurant is located across Hotel Sri Petaling. Easily noticeable. But looking for parking lots at that area can be a little difficult sometimes.
The interior of the restaurant, clean, pleasant and comfortable.
As usual, after placing our orders, the waiter served various side dishes which is known as banchan (반찬) in Korean. They all tasted quite good especially the kimchi (김치) and the potatoes. We noticed that they actually served more variety of side dishes in the afternoon compared to the evening.
The reason that we went there for lunch is because they have special lunch menu which cost RM10 per set. We wanted to try out their kimbab (김밥) for a long time but unfortunately they do not serve it anymore! A bit disappointed but it was made up by this ddeokbokki (떡볶이) which we ordered. Ddeokbokki is a broiled dish in which ddeok (Korean rice cake), vegetables and egg are cooked with gochujang (고추장), a spicy Korean condiment. The ddeok was quite chewy and the sauce tasted a bit sweet and spicy. It was quite tasty!
Something that we hardly miss out whenever we have Korean food – Kimchi jigae (김치찌개). Served with rice, this costs RM10 during lunch time. The soup was spicy and sour, it was really good!
Needless to say, a good place to visit for Korean food.
