Recently we found a nice friendly Korean café in Plaza Damas serving home made food which we like to share with our readers. Like Mom has been one of our favourite cafés since we discovered the place.
Located in Plaza Damas, the café was rather hard to find as we were not familiar with the area back then. However, with the floor plan and address we managed to find the café. If you’re a fan of Gangnam Style I’m sure you’ll be able to recognise the MTV playing on the screen. The friendly Korean owners were very nice to play us a few Korean MTVs after our meal.
The interior was quiet, nice and comfortable.
Although the café was rather small, it was nicely decorated and it felt warm and homely.

We were there in the afternoon for a light snack. We started off with a pot of Earl Grey priced at RM19.80.
The tea was served with a sandglass which specified the time of brewing for different types of teas. We thought the idea was very smart and useful.
As a loyal coffee fan, my better half did not miss the chance to try their Today Brew which was priced at RM7.80. The coffee was nice and strong, which he enjoyed a lot. Along with the drinks we also ordered four pieces of cookies, we had their green tea, walnut, black sesame and five grains cookies, all of which we enjoyed a lot. They were simple but at its best.
We also had a vegetable sandwich to share. Priced at RM12.90, the sandwich consisted of tofu, cheese, veggie and salad. It was surprisingly good. The dressing was very appetising and it was fresh and delicious! We loved it a lot and would definitely go back for more!
Lastly, we ended our light meal with a Patbingsu, Korean shaved ice dessert. We mixed the sweetened azuki beans with the shaved ice before eating it. It was nice and sweet, will try it in green tea flavour next time!
It was an excellent dining experience in Like Mom. Service was excellent and their food were healthy and delicious, most of them were hand made in their kitchen without artificial preservatives. We will definitely return more and we highly recommend our readers to check this place out!
