Good things can be found in the most unexpected of places sometimes. We would like to introduce an eating establishment in Jusco Mid Valley.
Located on the top floor of Jusco itself near where all the stationeries are, the delightful scent of asam laksa entices shoppers all around. We have frequented this joint for many years and our personal favourites include the Nasi Lemak and of course, the Asam Laksa.
The Penang Asam Laksa was priced at RM5.90. The mildly sour fish broth was very appetising! Definitely a recommended way to recharge one’s batteries in between shopping.
The noodles came with a generous helping of onions, cucumbers, pineapple pieces and chilli which added to the flavourful broth.
The Nasi Lemak Chicken Rendang was priced at RM7.90. The sambal here was quite good, being slightly spicy, however the main attraction was the chicken rendang. The rendang sauce was top class and went well with the fragrant coconut rice. The chicken on that day slightly dry and a bit too hard, but the chicken rendang has always been one of my favourites over the years.
This little eating establishment in Jusco is definitely worth a try. It’s been around for as many years as we can remember and the delicious smell of asam laksa that wafts through the floor ensures that we never forget it!
