Kafe Kopi Town

Posted by: Wen Ching In: Malaysian Food

We decided to have something light for lunch today. So, we went to Oldtown White Coffee. Unexpectedly, Oldtown White Coffee was so packed that we don’t think that there will be seats available even if we are willing to wait. So, we drove around the same area and found this place called Kafe Kopi Town. Since we’ve not been there, we decided to give it a try.

The open kitchen concept of the restaurant.

Another photo of the environment. Oldtown, Kopitiam, Kopi Town, their names and their interior decorations look similar to us!

Our drinks arrived first. We ordered Milo kosong and iced white milk tea for RM1.80 and RM2.00 each.

Here’s our wholemeal kaya butter for RM2.80. Tasted quite average but we somehow prefer the toast served in Oldtown.

Our tuna sandwich for RM3.20.

Nothing much to comment about this place but we would prefer Oldtown because they serve a larger variety of food and better toasts!

Looks tasty — my favorite brunch place has a line that averages a half an hour at the very least.

Although you commented the toast is just average, but it turned up so nice in your photos.

Kelly Mahoney, thanks for dropping by our blog. The place that you visit should serve very good food then!

Nic (khkl), thanks! We love kaya butter wholemeal too! Simple and nice!

Yammylicious, we think that the kaya butter served in Oldtown is better.

Ling239, yeah, there’re more and more kopitiam concept restaurants in KL.

Christine, we agree with you that Kopi Town and Oldtown are really good for afternoon tea!

Ai Wei, true, it’s a good thing that they serve wholemeal bread!

New Kid on the Blog, we’re not too sure whether there’s an outlet in Ikano. Sorry!

Nicholas, in some way it’s quite similar to Oldtown. Maybe it’s quite new and also the fact that it was raining that day.

Meiyen, yup, it does look like Oldtown!

Christy, yeah, we like these type of restaurants too, a sense of familiarity.

Big Boys Oven, you can try it out when you have the chance but we think that Oldtown is somehow better.

Celine, haha, really? Thanks!
