After a good night’s rest during the weekend, we woke up feeling hungry and craving for good local food, as usual. We recalled Ai Wei complimenting on O & S’s Char Koay Teow not too long ago and we decided to visit this place for a late lunch.

We arrived at the restaurant in the late afternoon, surprised to find that parking was a bit hard to find and the restaurant was still very crowded even though it was past lunch hour.

The restaurant was very packed and we shared a table with another couple.

There were a number of stalls selling food and we started by ordering from the Asam Laksa stall.

Priced at RM4.50 per bowl, O & S’s Asam Laksa was filled with generous servings of mackerel, finely sliced cucumbers, onions, red chillies and pineapples. The noodles were springy and the soup was how we want it to be – sour, thick and full of flavour. It was definitely one of the best Asam Laksas that we have had and we will return for more in the future!

We also had a plate of Char Koay Teow to share. Also priced at RM4.50, the Char Koay Teow was stir-fried with lots of chilli, belachan, prawns, cockles, bean sprouts, egg, Chinese chives and flat rice noodles. I am not a personal fan of cockles. However, O & S’s version was so smooth and delicious that I finished all of them. The wok hei was sufficient and the noodles were so good that it left us craving for more.

O & S’s Prawn Mee was rather impressive as well. Priced at RM4.50, our bowl of noodles was moderately spicy but delicious with intense prawn flavour. My better half enjoyed the prawn based soup a lot.`

Dessert for the day was Chee Cheong Fun. As we heard a lot of compliments about them, we decided to try it. Priced at RM2 for a small serving, we found the steamed rice noodles not the version that we enjoy. It was rather sticky and the black sauce was a bit daunting, perhaps we were not too used to it.
However, we still love O & S for their Asam Laksa, Char Koay Teow and Prawn Mee. We will definitely return for more as we think they are one of the best in Klang Valley. Do check this place out when you happen to have a chance!
