We were looking for some place to dine in for late dinner in OUG and we drove through Citrus Park in OUG, then we decided to pay there a visit since there’re many restaurants there which open until late night. Since we have no been to Leo’s Café, we wanted to give this place a try.
Leo’s Café is situated beside an antique shop (previously occupied by “Remember to Eat”, Gei Dak Sik, 记得食) and it is located below Wong Kok Char Chan Teng (旺角茶餐厅).
Here’s the inside of the restaurant.
Since they highly recommended their toast, we decided to give it a try. Priced at RM1.20, this Leo’s signature toast was toasted with butter and brown sugar. The toast tasted quite well with a light pandan taste.
For our mains, we ordered nasi lemak rendang at RM6.80. Additionally, they served papadam which is a type of Indian crackers. The nasi lemak tasted quite ordinary compared to others. We didn’t enjoy their rendang ayam as it was a little overcooked.
Next we ordered nasi kunyit with curry chicken for RM7.80. This tasted much better than the nasi lemak, the chicken was tender and the curry tasted spicy and appetising! The flavoured rice formed a good combination with the curry chicken.
Perhaps we were still very hungry, we went on for dessert. Since they also recommended their gelato (Italian ice-cream), we ordered chocolato since we’re chocolate lovers. Priced at RM7.80, they served 2 generous scoops of chocolate gelato topped with chocolate sauce, nuts and cherry. It was quite tasty with a strong chocolate taste. One thing we have to inform you is that this ice-cream melts really fast!
Not bad for a revisit because of the large variety of the food served and gelatos. They serve food ranging from Asian to Western cuisine. You can check out their website here for more information!
