OM Burger

Posted by: Wen Ching In: Malaysian Food

It seems like the art of the Ramly burger is exclusive to Malaysia. We didn’t manage to find anything  close to it while we were in the UK and all attempts at reproducing it at home just do not seem to have that “oomph” factor.

OM Burger Stall, Selangor
It is likely that we have found the master of this art, in front of a 7-11 outlet in Ampang.

Patties cooked in Margarine, OM Burger
While it doesn’t look like the healthiest thing around, it really doesn’t matter! If you insist on having peace-of-mind, would it help to know that the pool of oil is margarine as opposed to butter? Haha!

Various meats, OM Burger
The various meat were fried in the same pool which infused a mouth-watering  flavour into all of them!

Oblong Kambing Special, OM Burger
We had an Oblong Kambing Special for RM7.50 that day. It was simply the best! We don’t know what his secret is. It could be the generous amount of margarine or the amalgamation of sauces on the end product, but whatever it is, it tasted absolutely brilliant! The lamb still had a gamey taste as well which wrapped up an already good burger.

Ayam Special, OM Burger
We were not going to be satisfied with just one of this amazing burger, so we tried the Ayam Special as well. Priced at RM4.00, it was equally as good as the Oblong Kambing. Definitely a good alternative to those who do not enjoy the gamey taste of certain types of meat.

The verdict? OM Burger is probably the best burger stall we’ve had so far. Yes, the burgers look very sloppy and messy and yes, it doesn’t look very healthy, but they are absolutely delicious! This is definitely not one to be missed!

Ha! Such a cheap price but such a long run needed to work it off. ;-)

yikes, i’m always a bit wary of margarine cos folks insist that it isn’t actually healthier than butter at all, but a burger as delicious-looking as this is hard to resist! :D

Heard of this stall but have yet to try them as it is pretty far from my place. But then again, I could not remember the last time I had a Ramly burger even though there are alot in my neighbourhood. Haha.

The Yum List, haha, yeah, OM Burger isn’t the healthiest thing around, but it was so delicious and hard to resist!

Sean, haha, we’re actually not too sure which is the healthier option also, but we do agree that this burger is hard to resist!

Simple Person, Ramly Burger is not a chain. It is the name of the brand which distributes the patty of the burger. And yes, we can find Ramly Burger stalls in many places in Malaysia. =)

Jobless Girl, haha, yeah, but once in a while wouldn’t hurt I guess? :)

Chong, haha, this place is actually not near our place as well, just wanted to give it a try and we drove all the way there. ^^
