It seems like the art of the Ramly burger is exclusive to Malaysia. We didn’t manage to find anything close to it while we were in the UK and all attempts at reproducing it at home just do not seem to have that “oomph” factor.
It is likely that we have found the master of this art, in front of a 7-11 outlet in Ampang.
While it doesn’t look like the healthiest thing around, it really doesn’t matter! If you insist on having peace-of-mind, would it help to know that the pool of oil is margarine as opposed to butter? Haha!
The various meat were fried in the same pool which infused a mouth-watering flavour into all of them!
We had an Oblong Kambing Special for RM7.50 that day. It was simply the best! We don’t know what his secret is. It could be the generous amount of margarine or the amalgamation of sauces on the end product, but whatever it is, it tasted absolutely brilliant! The lamb still had a gamey taste as well which wrapped up an already good burger.
We were not going to be satisfied with just one of this amazing burger, so we tried the Ayam Special as well. Priced at RM4.00, it was equally as good as the Oblong Kambing. Definitely a good alternative to those who do not enjoy the gamey taste of certain types of meat.
The verdict? OM Burger is probably the best burger stall we’ve had so far. Yes, the burgers look very sloppy and messy and yes, it doesn’t look very healthy, but they are absolutely delicious! This is definitely not one to be missed!
