In conjunction with Christine’s birthday a while back, we decided to have breakfast in a popular breakfast joint in Bangsar.
An All Day Breakfast was priced at RM18 and came with toast, bacon, a choice of chicken, beef or pork sausages, baked beans, scrambled eggs and grilled tomatoes. We found the bacon and scrambled eggs to be very good. We definitely appreciate it when a food establishment in Malaysia uses proper bacon in all its bacon-y goodness. The only let down was the baked beans which we found to be too sweet.
Another suitable breakfast option to consider is the Big Breakfast which was also priced at RM18 and came with toast, bacon, a choice of beef, chicken or pork sausages, mushrooms, scrambled eggs and hash browns.
We also tried the Croissant Scrambled Eggs with Bacon. For RM18, a generous serving of scrambled eggs was topped with bacon and served on a croissant. The quality scrambled eggs here along with the bacon are definitely a winning combination!
For RM20, we tried the Smoked Salmon Omelette. We think that by now we’ve established that the eggs at Antipodean Café were good, but coupled on with some fresh tasting smoked salmon, we find this item even harder to resist!
What birthday would be complete without a cake? Here was the excellent Chocolate Crumble Marble Cake baked by Ai Wei!
Antipodean Café is a good bet for good breakfasts and even better coffee! Definitely one worth waking up early for! For more information, do visit their Facebook page.
