After a night’s rest in Edinburgh, we woke up early in the morning to take the bus back to Glasgow for a connecting bus to Manchester. The bus journey from Glasgow to Manchester takes about 5 hours. And unfortunately, the bus that we took had a flat tyre.
All passengers have to get off the bus to wait for the tyre to be fixed before we can continue with our journey. Since we have 45 minutes to spare, we decided to discover areas around Preston Bus Station to look for a bakery.
The problem with this place is that they did not label their products. And since we are in a rush to return to the bus station (a feeling that it would be better to wait at the station), we only chosen a tuna savoury baguette priced at £2.05. The baguette was fresh and nice, nothing much to shout about.
After some reading from their official website, we realised that they were famous for their potato and meat pies, chunky steak pie and other pies. It’s a waste that we didn’t order any of their pies. Hopefully we would have the chance to revisit again.
