Like I said in one of our previous post, summer is meant to travel. So here we are, in London Stansted Airport waiting for our flight to Glasgow.
We were lucky to bought air tickets from Ryanair at £1 per person, plus the airport tax and other charges, the total for two air tickets only cost £16. It was our first time travelling by Ryanair, it was quite funny reading their tagline which says “Bye Bye EasyJet”. Quite true though, Ryanair is growing bigger and stronger, other airlines might be at stake.
While waiting for our flight, we decided to grab a bite. The Giraffe Juice Bar is the nearest café located to our departure gate. Since we didn’t have much time to spare, we decided to buy a sandwich from the café. The food display shows a variety of pastries, cakes, muffins and sandwiches offered by the Giraffe. Other than these, the bar also features a variety of fresh juices, milkshakes, hot drinks, fruit bars, light snacks, hot soups, yoghurts and smoothies.
This was what caught our attention – the stacked deli sandwich.
Priced at £3.85, the sandwich tasted very good. Though a little expensive, the sandwich was generously filled with thick cheddar, chicken and ham slices, pickled gherkins, onion slices and lettuce. The bread was spreaded with a thin layer of mustard. The ingredients were fresh and good, we enjoyed it a lot.
After a light lunch, we boarded the plane to Glasgow. Stay tune for our upcoming posts on our one week trip to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester and Leeds!
