Giraffe Juice and Coffee Bar

Posted by: Wen Ching In: United Kingdom|Western Food

Like I said in one of our previous post, summer is meant to travel. So here we are, in London Stansted Airport waiting for our flight to Glasgow.

We were lucky to bought air tickets from Ryanair at £1 per person, plus the airport tax and other charges, the total for two air tickets only cost £16. It was our first time travelling by Ryanair, it was quite funny reading their tagline which says “Bye Bye EasyJet”. Quite true though, Ryanair is growing bigger and stronger, other airlines might be at stake.

While waiting for our flight, we decided to grab a bite. The Giraffe Juice Bar is the nearest café located to our departure gate. Since we didn’t have much time to spare, we decided to buy a sandwich from the café. The food display shows a variety of pastries, cakes, muffins and sandwiches offered by the Giraffe. Other than these, the bar also features a variety of fresh juices, milkshakes, hot drinks, fruit bars, light snacks, hot soups, yoghurts and smoothies.

This was what caught our attention – the stacked deli sandwich.

Priced at £3.85, the sandwich tasted very good. Though a little expensive, the sandwich was generously filled with thick cheddar, chicken and ham slices, pickled gherkins, onion slices and lettuce. The bread was spreaded with a thin layer of mustard. The ingredients were fresh and good, we enjoyed it a lot.

After a light lunch, we boarded the plane to Glasgow. Stay tune for our upcoming posts on our one week trip to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester and Leeds!

Giraffes are one of my favouritest animals! So anything named Giraffe is in my good books! 😀 I miss those healthy, ingredient-packed sandwiches we can grab and go overseas… hmm maybe I should set up a sandwich bar here!

Inspite of what most travellers say about their snacks in between stations lounges , we love transit bites. Must be the fresh sense of freedom and what's nex !

Always exciting ! we think you agree !

J2Kfm, hahaha, I laughed for so long when I read your comment. I've never thought of reading "Giraffe Juice" and "Coffee Bar" separately because the word "Giraffe" was written very large in the cafe and "Juice and Coffee Bar" were relatively small. Haha! Giraffe juice, I wanna try that out too!

ck lam, haha! The name is just so funny. Thanks, will post them soon! :)

thenomadGourmand, haha, we knew you would say that you like this since you said you love anything with bread! :) Yeah, they usually turn soggy after I packed them too. No idea how to many them stand still!

ai wei, haha! Decorated with giraffe? Good idea, and it'll look cute too! Guess we can suggest this to the company. Come fly with us next time, can't wait to travel with you!

Superman, we thought the weather would be colder than Cardiff too. But ended up when we were there, the weather was so much hotter than we expect! Haha! Will post photos in Glasgow. Thanks for visiting! :)

Selba, haha, Giraffe juice? We'll suggest to the company and get them selling giraffe juice soon! Just kidding! ^^

bluefiz, 虽然有点贵,但是这个三文治绝对值的,如你说的一样,很多料!:)

SimpleGirl, yup, definitely a nice start! Thanks, we'll be posting on Glasgow very soon, stay tune!

550ml jar of faith, hehe, giraffes are cute, aren't they? We like them too! That's a great idea! We'll definitely visit your sandwich bar if you set up one! :)

mimid3vils, yup, thick and filled with many fresh ingredients too!

backStreetGluttons, yeah, totally agree with you! Transit bites are important to us, gotta save up more energy for the next stop! Always nice to have a bite on something during the journey too! :)

sock peng, yeah, we were so lucky to click on their website and found it accidentally. Will look out for more cheap flights! :)

All juices are fantastic because they don't need preserver and everything is natural. Just try with apple juice and coffee too.
