It’s been a long time since I last hung out with my best friend, Ai Wei. So finally we decided to visit Mid Valley Megamall last Friday since I haven’t been to The Gardens yet. We actually wanted to have lunch in Din Tai Fung at The Gardens but the queue was so long and we were so hungry at that time, so we wandered around deciding where to dine in. We wanted to go to Aunty Nat, but when we passed by San Francisco SteakHouse, their lunch set seemed to appeal to us and the price seems quite reasonable. So we entered without hesitation.
It was our first time there. The restaurant was decorated so to celebrate Hari Raya. The environment was quite dim, quiet and comfortable, but their ventilation was not that satisfactory.
Anyway, we ordered their daily set lunch at RM13.90 which includes a choice of soup of the day, salad or cheesecake. Since we have ordered 3 set lunch altogether, we chose 1 soup, 1 salad and 1 cheesecake so to share with each other. We were first served with bread and butter.
Followed by the soup of the day – Pumpkin soup. The soup tasted quite good. But I guess we spent too much time taking photos, it was rather cold when we taste it.
Here’s our salad. Nothing too special about it, just ordinary.
Here’s the roasted beef, served with vegetables and fries. Ys said it tasted quite ok, it would be tastier added with black pepper.
I ordered turkey and ham sandwich. It tasted quite good, the turkey serving was quite generous. It was also served with coleslaw. Not a bad choice, I suppose.
Ai Wei ordered pan fried butter fish which was served with almond butter sauce.
Finally, we had our dessert. The cheesecake was topped with chocolate sauce and served with strawberry and dragon fruit. We didn’t really enjoy the cheesecake, the serving was too small and it didn’t taste well.
The restaurant was quite ok overall. But there are better restaurants than this. Their service wasn’t up to our expectation too. It took them a quite long time to serve our drinks. But of course, we had a great time hanging out together. Next stop, Korean food as I have promised!
